Role overview

The Monitoring & Evaluation Associate will help strengthen how WLU collects, organises, and interprets programme data. This role is for someone who enjoys both structure and meaning: building orderly systems while keeping sight of the human impact behind the numbers.

You will work across teams to improve reporting discipline, indicator tracking, and learning loops that make programmes sharper over time.

Key responsibilities

What you will do

  • Maintain indicator trackers and support routine data collection across selected programmes.
  • Clean, verify, and organise data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Support the design of simple tools for field teams to capture consistent information.
  • Prepare summary dashboards, findings notes, and reporting inputs for internal review.
  • Flag data quality issues early and help teams close reporting gaps.
Minimum requirements

What you should bring

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, development studies, public health, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research support, or programme reporting.
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills and comfort handling structured datasets.
  • Clear written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to protect confidentiality and handle information responsibly.
